Basically like the title suggest. Name a few of your favourite anime/manga, and why. But don't say Naruto, cause that's too obvious To get this show on the road: AnimeKenshin OVA: Great story, great characters. They take the time to introduce the characters, and they have a descent plot going on. Gundam Wing/Seed(Destiny): What can I say? I like big piloted robots and lot's of explosions. They have both, I am content. Gungrave: Once again, great story and great characters. It's nice to see the maincharacter growing, turning into the man he has become. Not your average monster slayer. MangaBlade of the Immortal: Maincharacter just kicks (...). I like swords, I like blood, the manga has both, once again I am content.

Medori Days is a wonderfully kawaii and a riot laugher fest that I would have to say it is my favorite comedy romance, besides the harem Tenchi series. Ah, poor Tenchi. Anyhow, I really hate all those show about high school boys meeting alien girls, or robots, and garbage such as that. Medori Days is about the only romance show in that kind of high school loser guy drama genre I can stomach.
Gungrave is an excellent series after playing both games; plus, the character designer and writer is the same who writes and draws Trigun. Grave is one of the coolest character, Beyond on the Grave, come on, you cannot beat that kind of title. He gives the American super hero Spawn a run for his money, but of course I have only watched the movie version of Spawn on television.
Cowboy Bebop as Samurai Champloo, created basically by the same cast and with Steven Bloom doing the voice for the main characters in both series, they connect Western and Eastern concepts well creating an enjoyable show for all cultures. One of the greatest things is its full of action of fighting as old Eastern martial arts movies where the view isn’t just cut, cut, cut, the camera follows the action where you can watch feet, body, and arm motion of fighting.
Slayers is based upon original Japanese novels, though they haven’t been translated to English yet. The Slayers, however, is a great comedy fantasy adventure with magic, swords, an idiot but lovable side-kick, lots of food, and fun.
I could on forever, but I will quit while I’m at it.
For our mature Naruto Nindo member, Berserk’s quite a well driven manga that has been produced since the early eighties, 1985 I believe. The swordsman, called Guts (Gatsu) in America, on a journey to bring back loving companion senses that lost her memory and all connections with reality; basically, she is very childlike. Although, Berserk is extremely violent and other things that I cannot speak; I recommend this for our older audience because the series continues.

Anime:
Kenshin OVA - just so kickarse and characters well done, swordsmanship choreography in there was awesome though few, plot is nice, such a sad story nonetheless.
Millennium Actress - movie so cool how each scene resonates with each other for the story, and how comedy bits were connected. Freaky in small aspects but well put together with semi-suspense.
Manga:
Dogs - so hot, such hot characters, such hot suspenseful story that goes on slowly with questions asked about and the art is amazing. The details and story telling. The fights. The design. Just plain gorgeousness.

Anime:
Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, hands down the best series I have ever had the privilege of watching. I have yet to decide which I like more, and it would probably end in a tie anyway. Champloo is more fluidly animated, but then again there is a few years' difference between Bebop and Champloo. I dig Champloo's bad guy scene more, simply because there isn't a feel of a one-sided antagonist like in Bebop's Vicious, but then again Cowboy Bebop's ending is simply superb. Plus Samurai Champloo is missing an episode as powerful as Bebop's "Mad Pierrot".
After that, I'd probably have to say Loveless. I really enjoyed the drama aspect of the series, and while it was missing the climatic battle that you'd think it would have had, it was still excellent and great fun to be packed into 12 episodes. The OST is really nice as well.
I have a special place in my heart for off-the-wall comedy like Green Green TV, Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu and Club-to-Death Angel Dokuro-Chan. Especially I would like to give props to Jungle Wa Itsumo, since it manages to keep the joke floating for a full-length 26-episode series as well as two sequels.
Manga
Again, there is a hands down-tie between two titles, this time it's Gunslinger Girl and FLCL. FLCL is at times almost minimalistic, yet always uniquely drawn with the kind of a plot that would make a rollercoaster seem like a straight highway in comparison. It is just mindboggling, I'm not sure I still fully grasp it even after reading all the books several times over. Gunslinger Girl is really dramatic, at least to me, and tickles my fancy with some nice character buildup and pretty mind-twisting scenarios.
After that, I'd probably have to say Sgt. Frog, which I read for the laughs. Good laughs too.

You are the one with bad taste! You have pratically no variety and read/watch the pretty boring/slowly paced/filler ridden/generic shounens.
